When we photographed Adrian and Nancy’s wedding at AG Outdoor Venue, two of our favorite portrait locations were the pool area and the space in front of the reception building. Both are worth considering when planning time for your own wedding portraits.
Plan your ceremony and portraits around sunset
The ceremony presented a lighting challenge: the sun was setting, but the ceremony area still received direct sunlight without shade. A ceremony close to sunset doesn’t always mean soft light throughout.
Check the sunset time for your wedding date, then work with your photographer and venue team to plan the ceremony and reserve time for portraits before daylight fades. Allowing that time in your schedule gives you more flexibility for photographs together and with your family.
